Luís Costa (1993) was born in Porto, Portugal. As a young director, he worked on several projects in the audiovisual area, and his two academic short films were recognised in several national and international festivals. He has also develops parallel projects on photography and music videos, among others. In 2017, 'The Everlasting Man' premiered and was recognised with the Sophia award for best documentary short film by the Portuguese Film Academy. 'Our Kingdom',a short film based on the novel by Valter Hugo Mãe, is currently in distribuition and won several awards. Recently, he co-founded Olhar de Ulisses, a film production company in Porto, in which he is developing several projects in different positions, from production to script writing. 'Light Was A Break', based on the book by Rui Nunes, is his latest film.
Currently, he is post-producing his two next short films, making a documentary series on photography and writing his first feature film.
He co-founded and works as a director at Pinehouse Concerts.
